Privacy policy

The short version

We collect what we need to run your account and make your ads. We do not sell your information. We do not use ad tracking or tracking cookies. You can delete your account and projects whenever you like.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, the name you give us, your plan and your credit balance.
• Your projects: what you tell us about your brand and ad, the written material made for it, and the settings you choose.
• Your uploads and media: voiceovers, images and clips you upload, media you make in the app, and finished videos and short versions.
• Billing records: what you bought and when. Card details go straight to a payment provider and are not stored by us.
• Basic visit counts: page views and where visitors came from, counted without cookies.
• Messages you send us, such as support emails.

How we use it

• To sign you in by emailing you a 6-digit code.
• To save your projects so they open on your phone, tablet and desktop.
• To make the ads and media you ask for.
• To track credits, handle payments, and return credits when a making job fails.
• To answer your questions and send account and billing emails.
• To keep the app secure and stop abuse.
• To understand which pages people visit, using cookieless counts only.

AI tools and your content

To make the written material, voice, images and clips you ask for, we send the needed parts of your project to AI tools and media-making partners. They process it to return results to you.

We do not sell your content, and we do not let these partners use your content to advertise to you. We pick partners that handle data responsibly.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help run the app, and only what they need:

• Our hosting and email providers, which store data and send sign-in codes and account emails.
• A payment provider, which handles plan and top-up payments.
• AI tools and media-making partners, which help write and make media you ask for.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy would still apply to your information.

Where your data is stored and how we protect it

Your account and projects are stored on cloud infrastructure run by our hosting provider. Data is sent over encrypted connections.

We limit who can access data, sign you in with one-time codes instead of passwords, and keep billing data with a payment provider instead of on our own systems.

No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and projects while your account is open. When you delete a project, it is removed from your account. When you delete your account, your projects, uploads and finished videos are removed.

We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Copies in backups are cleared on a regular cycle.

Your choices and rights

You can see and edit your projects in the app at any time, download your finished videos, and delete your account from your Profile page.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your information, or to object to some uses. Email hello@videostoryads.com and we will help. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

Video Story Ads is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, email hello@videostoryads.com and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app.
